With over 35 years involvement in the shopping centre industry, Bob Walsh is one of the most experienced operators in this highly specialised property sector. He has been involved in the development, leasing and management of over $2 billion worth of shopping centres and homemaker centres in Australia.

Bob specialises in shopping centre investment acquisition and sale, all forms of retail development, and major retailers and homemaker centre leasing. He has over 12 years senior level experience with leading shopping centre owner Stockland, where until leaving to set up his own development and consultancy company (Retail Development & Investment), was General Manager of the Retail Projects Division. He was previously director of two leading retail agencies (including head of the Shopping Centre Division of Jones Lang in Sydney).

Bob has successfully negotiated leasing deals [including full legal documentation] with all the major tenants such as Kmart, Target, Big W, Woolworths, Coles, IGA, Aldi, Myer, David Jones, Bunnings and Masters Hardware - as well as most national homemaker retailers and all types of specialties.

His most notable recent achievement is the pre-leasing of 27,000 sqm to the Woolworths Group (comprising stores for Big W, Woolworths Supermarket, and Masters Hardware at Majura Park,Canberra -  in one of the largest leasing deals in recent times. Bob was instrumental in formulating the overall retail strategy and concept planning for Canberra Airport, as well the more detailed design to incorporate 35 specialty stores.

He has also recently personally pre-leased [prior to opening] the entire 12,000 sqm Riverside Homemaker Centre at West Gosford on Sydney's Central Coast, to market leading national Homemaker Centre tenants..
